Located in Mahany Regional Park at the intersection of Pleasant Grove Boulevard and Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard, the Martha Riley Community Library also serves as home to the Utility Exploration Center and Roseville Community Television Studio. This library's collection emphasizes green technologies.

Award Winner for “BEST COMMUNITY IMPACT” Project - Martha Riley Community Library - Sacramento Business Journal / 2008 Real Estate Projects.

February 27, 2009:

The Martha Riley Community Library was selected as the winning project under the category of “Best Community Impact” project during the Sacramento Business Journal / 2008 Real Estate Projects awards ceremony. The facility was designed by the award winning architects at Williams + Paddon Architects + Planners, Inc. and constructed by Carter-Kelly, Inc. utilizing the Design Assist delivery method with the City of Roseville, California. We at Carter-Kelly are extremely proud and grateful for the opportunity to share in this award. Our clients, our partners and our CKI team brought a passion for excellence in this Design Assist project where collaboration was the cornerstone of the project. The LEED Gold (Pending) Certification added to the community value of this endeavor. Again, we thank the City of Roseville, Williams + Paddon, Gary Kortan; CKI Project Superintendent and Brett Hayes; CKI Project Manager for all the effort and dedication that made this project a success and a value for the City of Roseville.

Fausel Professional Building

Description: Located in downtown Placerville, CA. just off Main Street at 778 Pacific Street. This professional building was delivered using a Design Build methodology. Where the Partnership of owners, Architects and Construction teams have been linked in collaboration for many years prior to this event. The unique project is situated on land that has been the site of the “Fausel House” for almost 140 years.

The original house was built in the late 1860’s and has been repositioned, refurbished and incorporated as the centerpiece of this new age LEED Certified professional building. The 2-story house and the 2-story office building stand as a testament to the trades of design and construction spanning well over a century. As Dennis Knutsen; a local Master Builder/ Artist said, “… When I see the Fausel House, I see the hours of caring craftsmanship that has stood the test of time…” With a LEED Certification of Gold, the team of owners, designers and contractors hope to have helped both buildings with stand the test of time for another 100 plus years and help to lessen the impacts on the environment through LEED best practices.
